mackenzie + brayden | an in-home engagement session
A few weeks back, Mackenzie and Brayden went to NYC where Brayden popped the big question. This beautiful couple is now getting married in 2018 and I am SO stoked for them.
When Mackenzie contacted me about doing engagement photos, she was interested in some forest shots and I have been itching to do a in-home engagement session, so we made sure to make BOTH happen. From forest to knitted blankets to couch cuddles to pillow fights to boozy drinks to warm up, this session has it all!
Thanks so much for having me m + b! I hope to work with you guys again soon xo

brittany + drew | a rustic farm wedding at rainbow valley wedding barn in caledon
Brittany and Drew are one of those couples that make me feel so lucky to have my "job". I say it in quotes because honestly, hanging out with these two and their friends and family, never once felt like work.
Brit and Drew found me through a free wedding magazine that I just happened to submit one of my weddings too. Brit and I met up in person for the first time and instantly it was a match and I wanted to capture their wedding so bad. I am so thankful they chose me.
From the first second I saw them on the wedding day, to the minute I left, my face hurt from smiling and my make up was a mess from crying. Every little detail was perfect: walking in and everyone is rocking out to the Tragically Hip (my fav band), constant laughs all day with the whole group, horses chasing us while doing photos (and while we chased goats), truly emotional speeches, the best dance floor and the list goes on.
B + D, THANK YOU!! I don't know how many times I can say it, I am so darn thankful I was lucky enough to capture such a perfect wedding. I am so happy you guys found me through that magazine and I really hope I get to work with you, your friends and your families again.

mark + lindsay | a beautiful backyard wedding at Beamer Falls Manor in Grimsby
First off, I have to say that this wedding is the perfect example of "if it rains, embrace it". Mark + Lindsey got married at Beamer Falls Manor (one of my favorite venues to date, with the nicest owners taboot!) on September 10, 2016. The entire day was torrential rain, off and on off and on and finally, when the sun gave them a few minutes of it's time, they got married under a giant willow tree.
Mark + Lindsay are the epitome of a perfect couple. The entire day was filled with candid emotion, love, incredible details and a wicked fun group of people. M + L, thank you so darn much for having me to capture your day. I hope I get to work with you guys soon and can't wait for you guys to see all the photos!

lindsay + kyle | a backyard wedding in alliston
First off, I am so honoured to have been chosen by l + k to capture their day. After them being together for 9.5 years, and myself knowing them for all of that time, I again, am so thankful I was the one to capture their love!
When you think of a diy wedding, you think of cute crafts, some homemade decor etc. but this was SO much more then a DIY wedding, it was the perfect wedding. So much love, sweat and tears went into every moment and every detail of the day. From the bouquets made by the girls (other then lindsays bouquet, which was made by Karen at Schakel Greenhouses), to her dad making the bar, to an uncle making the cafe lighting outside the tent to the mothers growing the lavender themselves that you see through all the arrangements, so incredible.
L + K, I hope I captured your day perfectly and I can't wait for you guys to see ALL the pics

Heather and Josh, I had SO much fun with you guys!! I can't wait to capture you're big day!! xo
dryden + blake | beautiful country wedding in st mary's ontario
What a beautiful day with this couple. Although we were in scorching heat majority of the day, it was way better then the thunderstorms that were being predicted. We did the first look and formal bridal photos down at the waterfalls in St Marys, the venue was Stone Willow Inn, there was the most adorable ring bearer who delivered rings in a tractor and there was a cardboard cutout of the groom that was used in various ways throughout the day haha
Dryden & Blake, I am so happy you guys asked me to capture your day and can't believe how perfect of a match we were together. I had so much fun with you both, and your friends and families, and I can't wait for you guys to see all the photos!
hannah + cameron | engagement session on the barrie waterfront
Hannah + Cameron found me through a mutual friend and after skyping with them, we knew it would be a great match! This past weekend we met up on the Barrie waterfront to not only meet in person but to also do their engagement photos before Cameron leaves to head back to BC where he lives half of the year. We had quite the weather for this shoot (rain, snow, freezing rain, lots of wind) but they were troopers and the blowing hair adds to the photos in my opinion :)
H + C, I had SO much fun with you guys and I absolutely can't wait to capture your wedding in March. You guys are so awesome and made my job easy!
Enjoy the pics

Trash the dress session in Runaway Bay, Jamaica | lindsay + chris
Lindsay, Chris and I go way back to our childhood days and when they asked me 1. if I wanted to come to Jamaica to capture their wedding but also 2. are you on board with doing a trash the dress? I was clearly on board and so excited.
While I work away on the wedding photos, I thought I would start with sharing the trash the dress session. The three of us went out at sunset and started off in the sand and the edge of the water and by the end, we were fully submerged under water and laughing constantly. I had so much fun during this session and it will forever be a favorite.
Cant wait for you both to see the wedding photos (coming soon!!). Love you guys and thanks again SO much for such a wonderful week.

danielle + nathan | NYE wedding at Hacienda Sarria
I am so darn excited to share this wedding with you all!
First off, Danielle and I go back to the first year college days, where we met through Humber Varsity soccer and then ended up being roommates at one point and have been pals ever since. When she asked me to capture her day, I of course jumped at the chance not even knowing where or when. When I found out their wedding was going to be at Hacienda Sarria, and googled, I was blown away at the venue and how beautiful it was. Then to find out it was going to be a New Years Eve wedding made it extra awesome.
Danielle's love for beige(s), their vintage style and great taste showed through in the entire day. Danielle made the bouquets, they had simple/beautiful rings, the medival structure of the building, it was all perfect!
D + N, THANK YOU! I am so happy I got to be a part of the day and I hope you love these photos xoxoxo
A great big shout out to one of my fav gals, Anna Baker, for being my second shooter for this amazing wedding.

taylor & sarah - 08.14.15 - berkeley church
Taylor and Sarah... the wedding that will probably always go down as the best first look I have ever witnessed. There was so much emotion, laughter, sounds (taylor and sarah are the only two who will know what that means haha), and love.
Their wedding day wasn't the first time I captured this beautiful couple. I have multiple photos of them dominating the dance floor at Derek & Trish's wedding in 2014. But this was the first time I of course spent a whole day with them and the day was so perfect.
T & S got married at Berkeley Church in Toronto. The day started with the guys getting a shave and trim at Rod, Guns and Barbers in the Junction and the ladies getting ready in Etobicoke. The barber experience was SO cool and something I have never witnessed and captured before.
From there, everyone met at Berkeley where we did a first look with both Sarah and her dad and Sarah and Taylor, both were incredible.
There was a beautiful ceremony on the upper level of the church with a violin duo who also played the cocktail hour, a beautifully decorated venue, an AMAZING live band for the reception (Parkside Drive), amazing food and incredible people.
S & T, THANK YOU! Thank you so much for including myself and Anna in your day, it was amazing and I am so darn excited for you both to see the photos, there is so much emotion and candid happiness throughout the entire day and you both made our job easy. You two are amazing.

Big shout out to my incredible second shooter, Mrs Anna Baker, thank you my dear, you are too, incredible!

phil & karly - 08.01.15 - estate farm wedding
This is another wedding in 2015 for me where I have known the bride (or groom) for the majority of my life. In this case, Karly and I (and the Wursten family and my family) go wayyyyy back to our pre teen years and playing sports together. I hadn't seen Karly or her family in more then a decade, but one day I got an email from Karly asking to talk wedding/engagement photography. I was instantly excited and we went and had a coffee together. After talking about the day and hearing all the amazing plans, we made it official, I was going to capture Karly & Phil's day!
This was my first wedding at Waterstone Estate and all I can say is WOW. It is perfect. To date, I have shot at some pretty spectacular properties, but Waterstone will most definitely always be in my top 3. From the rolling acres of hills, to the dozen horses outside a beautiful barn, to the rustic century old barn to the beautiful home where the reception is held, its all fantastic and as a photographer, it has everything you would want as a backdrop.
Although rain was in the forcast, we were VERY lucky as the storms kept going around us. During cocktail hour, we got a 10 minute sun shower and that was it, it was perfect!
I left this wedding with a sore face from laughing and smiling so much. Karly and Phil surround themselves by so many incredible and kind people and I felt so appreciated and included the entire day (Karly also has the funniest dad on the planet haha).
Karly and Phil - THANK YOU! I am so insanely happy I was able to work with you both, capture your day and be a part of such a perfect wedding. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you both and congratulations, you two really are perfect for one another.
Enjoy the first peeks!

ryan & laura - 07.17.15
Where to begin... I have known this couple for over 7 years now. Laura and I go back to the good ol' college days then ended up working together for a couple years at Woodbine Entertainment. It was then, that I was introduced to the man of her dreams. I have heard her talk hours about how amazing their relationship is, I have gone out with them and gone to events and seen how perfect they are for each other and I have seen and met all the incredible people they surround themselves with.
When Laura asked me to shoot their wedding I was, of course, ecstatic! Not only are they naturally beautiful, but they are so genuine, fun, laid back and again, surrounded by like minded people, how could I not get excited about their day?
The whole day was perfect (other then the rain, which stopped at the perfect times for us to capture photos). The whole day took place at Eagles Nest. I had never been to this venue before but HOLY COW is it ever beautiful and by far the nicest golf course I have ever seen. Mark Wahlberg golfs there so it must be nice, right? There is a helicopter pad, beautiful water and gardens, perfect windows to allow for natural light into the rooms along with a beautiful wine cellar. All of these things, helped make my job that much easier and I am so incredibly happy with Laura and Ryan's photos!
Laura and Ryan, I am SOOOO incredibly lucky that you guys chose me and I had so much hanging out with you and everyone you surround yourselves by. It will always be a top wedding in my books :) Enjoy the photos, this is only 1/15th of them xxoo

frank & meagen - 06.27.15
I have been so looking forward to this wedding since the second I was out one night with Frank and he told me he was going to propose and that I was shooting the wedding.
I have known Frank now for...8 years I believe. We started off playing soccer together and from there our friendship grew and him and his awesome group of friends took me in and I love them all and so happy to of met them.
When Frank met Meagen, I was instantly thinking "Frank better not let this gal go" and he didn't. Meagen and Frank were made to be together and what they have is so hard to find. Meagen instantly was a major part of their group, got along with everyone and made Frank so happy.
The wedding this beautiful couple planned at The Doctors House, was so them. Laid back, fun, lots of good food and drinks from morning until night and surrounded by amazing people.
I am so happy you both asked me to capture your day and I hope I did in a way that you will cherish the photos forever. Despite the torrential downpour for the entire day, I think we embraced the rain and captured some keepers.
Thank you again M & F xoxo
P.s Big shout out to my second shooter, Danielle Da Silva, for hanging out with and capturing the guys shannigans prior to the wedding xx
P.P.S for those of you who don't know Meagen & Frank, they are teachers so... the School Bus makes sense :)
