This is another wedding in 2015 for me where I have known the bride (or groom) for the majority of my life. In this case, Karly and I (and the Wursten family and my family) go wayyyyy back to our pre teen years and playing sports together. I hadn't seen Karly or her family in more then a decade, but one day I got an email from Karly asking to talk wedding/engagement photography. I was instantly excited and we went and had a coffee together. After talking about the day and hearing all the amazing plans, we made it official, I was going to capture Karly & Phil's day!
This was my first wedding at Waterstone Estate and all I can say is WOW. It is perfect. To date, I have shot at some pretty spectacular properties, but Waterstone will most definitely always be in my top 3. From the rolling acres of hills, to the dozen horses outside a beautiful barn, to the rustic century old barn to the beautiful home where the reception is held, its all fantastic and as a photographer, it has everything you would want as a backdrop.
Although rain was in the forcast, we were VERY lucky as the storms kept going around us. During cocktail hour, we got a 10 minute sun shower and that was it, it was perfect!
I left this wedding with a sore face from laughing and smiling so much. Karly and Phil surround themselves by so many incredible and kind people and I felt so appreciated and included the entire day (Karly also has the funniest dad on the planet haha).
Karly and Phil - THANK YOU! I am so insanely happy I was able to work with you both, capture your day and be a part of such a perfect wedding. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you both and congratulations, you two really are perfect for one another.
Enjoy the first peeks!
-Megan xoxo
