lindsay + kyle | a backyard wedding in alliston
First off, I am so honoured to have been chosen by l + k to capture their day. After them being together for 9.5 years, and myself knowing them for all of that time, I again, am so thankful I was the one to capture their love!
When you think of a diy wedding, you think of cute crafts, some homemade decor etc. but this was SO much more then a DIY wedding, it was the perfect wedding. So much love, sweat and tears went into every moment and every detail of the day. From the bouquets made by the girls (other then lindsays bouquet, which was made by Karen at Schakel Greenhouses), to her dad making the bar, to an uncle making the cafe lighting outside the tent to the mothers growing the lavender themselves that you see through all the arrangements, so incredible.
L + K, I hope I captured your day perfectly and I can't wait for you guys to see ALL the pics

dryden + blake | beautiful country wedding in st mary's ontario
What a beautiful day with this couple. Although we were in scorching heat majority of the day, it was way better then the thunderstorms that were being predicted. We did the first look and formal bridal photos down at the waterfalls in St Marys, the venue was Stone Willow Inn, there was the most adorable ring bearer who delivered rings in a tractor and there was a cardboard cutout of the groom that was used in various ways throughout the day haha
Dryden & Blake, I am so happy you guys asked me to capture your day and can't believe how perfect of a match we were together. I had so much fun with you both, and your friends and families, and I can't wait for you guys to see all the photos!
hannah + cameron | engagement session on the barrie waterfront
Hannah + Cameron found me through a mutual friend and after skyping with them, we knew it would be a great match! This past weekend we met up on the Barrie waterfront to not only meet in person but to also do their engagement photos before Cameron leaves to head back to BC where he lives half of the year. We had quite the weather for this shoot (rain, snow, freezing rain, lots of wind) but they were troopers and the blowing hair adds to the photos in my opinion :)
H + C, I had SO much fun with you guys and I absolutely can't wait to capture your wedding in March. You guys are so awesome and made my job easy!
Enjoy the pics

Trash the dress session in Runaway Bay, Jamaica | lindsay + chris
Lindsay, Chris and I go way back to our childhood days and when they asked me 1. if I wanted to come to Jamaica to capture their wedding but also 2. are you on board with doing a trash the dress? I was clearly on board and so excited.
While I work away on the wedding photos, I thought I would start with sharing the trash the dress session. The three of us went out at sunset and started off in the sand and the edge of the water and by the end, we were fully submerged under water and laughing constantly. I had so much fun during this session and it will forever be a favorite.
Cant wait for you both to see the wedding photos (coming soon!!). Love you guys and thanks again SO much for such a wonderful week.

Favorite Cakes/Dessert tables of 2015
5. Jess & Luke, London ON, August 2015 - This adorable/yummy cake was created by Jess' friend, Ashley Farr. Ashley has some amazing skills and gets another mention in #2.
4. Rachel & Matt, London ON, September 2015 - This beautiful cake was created by one of my other brides (who was in Rachel's bridal party), Rebecca.. Rebecca is incredible at what she does and I love the unique look of this cake. Check out Rebecca's wedding here.
3. Taylor & Sarah, Toronto ON, August 2015 -I absolutely loved the color palette for their table but I think it was the little banner on top that won me over!
2. Shauna & Brett, London ON, October 2015 - This beautiful cake, again, was created by Ashley Farr. She has some incredible talent and is still new to the industry. Can't wait to see where her skills take her!
1. Number one has to be this beautiful 3 tier (each tier a different flavour), "naked" style cake created by the Bride, Sharon. Sharon is one talented lady when it comes to baked goods but also just a creative person in general. Two of Sharons bouquets made my favorite flowers of 2015 list. You can see those here.

taylor & sarah - 08.14.15 - berkeley church
Taylor and Sarah... the wedding that will probably always go down as the best first look I have ever witnessed. There was so much emotion, laughter, sounds (taylor and sarah are the only two who will know what that means haha), and love.
Their wedding day wasn't the first time I captured this beautiful couple. I have multiple photos of them dominating the dance floor at Derek & Trish's wedding in 2014. But this was the first time I of course spent a whole day with them and the day was so perfect.
T & S got married at Berkeley Church in Toronto. The day started with the guys getting a shave and trim at Rod, Guns and Barbers in the Junction and the ladies getting ready in Etobicoke. The barber experience was SO cool and something I have never witnessed and captured before.
From there, everyone met at Berkeley where we did a first look with both Sarah and her dad and Sarah and Taylor, both were incredible.
There was a beautiful ceremony on the upper level of the church with a violin duo who also played the cocktail hour, a beautifully decorated venue, an AMAZING live band for the reception (Parkside Drive), amazing food and incredible people.
S & T, THANK YOU! Thank you so much for including myself and Anna in your day, it was amazing and I am so darn excited for you both to see the photos, there is so much emotion and candid happiness throughout the entire day and you both made our job easy. You two are amazing.

Big shout out to my incredible second shooter, Mrs Anna Baker, thank you my dear, you are too, incredible!

ryan & laura - 07.17.15
Where to begin... I have known this couple for over 7 years now. Laura and I go back to the good ol' college days then ended up working together for a couple years at Woodbine Entertainment. It was then, that I was introduced to the man of her dreams. I have heard her talk hours about how amazing their relationship is, I have gone out with them and gone to events and seen how perfect they are for each other and I have seen and met all the incredible people they surround themselves with.
When Laura asked me to shoot their wedding I was, of course, ecstatic! Not only are they naturally beautiful, but they are so genuine, fun, laid back and again, surrounded by like minded people, how could I not get excited about their day?
The whole day was perfect (other then the rain, which stopped at the perfect times for us to capture photos). The whole day took place at Eagles Nest. I had never been to this venue before but HOLY COW is it ever beautiful and by far the nicest golf course I have ever seen. Mark Wahlberg golfs there so it must be nice, right? There is a helicopter pad, beautiful water and gardens, perfect windows to allow for natural light into the rooms along with a beautiful wine cellar. All of these things, helped make my job that much easier and I am so incredibly happy with Laura and Ryan's photos!
Laura and Ryan, I am SOOOO incredibly lucky that you guys chose me and I had so much hanging out with you and everyone you surround yourselves by. It will always be a top wedding in my books :) Enjoy the photos, this is only 1/15th of them xxoo

ashley & jason - 06.20.15
I have to start off by saying how AMAZING it was to be shooting at Belcroft Estates again for Ashley & Jason's wedding. I photographed at Belcroft my first time back in August 2013 and those images are (what I believe) to have really taken my business to where it is today. Belcroft has everything you would want for your wedding day & as a photographer, all in one place.
So after that wedding (the Hummel wedding) had happened in 2013, my photos were published on the Belcroft Estates website, which is where Ashley found me and I am so incredibly thankful she did.
Ashley & Jason are the most laid back, easy going couple I have ever worked with. I believe these photos to be some of my favorites of 2015 and I think it has a lot to do with the positive atmosphere that was visible throughout their entire day.
It was so great meeting and working with you both and I hope you enjoy and cherish these photos for years to come!

vannessa & francesco - 06.13.15
This wedding was a very special one for me. Special for the simple fact that I have known Vannessa since we were 12 and for her to ask me to capture her big day, meant the world to me.
These two lovebirds actually met through Vannessa's grandfather in her parents living room. Apparently everyone secretly wanted them to meet but Vannessa was the last to know. She says "oh it was love at first sight" and told me she was angry her family hadn't told her sooner and that they could of saved her hundreds of dollars from all the nights she was out trying to meet someone haha.
These two are one of those couples when you see them together, hear how they speak to each other and see how they look at each other, you know they are to be. Francesco's face lights up when he is looking at Vannessa, the laughter and happiness shines through in every single photo and well, they just look darn good together!
The wedding was BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony took place at a church in Kelinburg and then the reception was at The Doctors House. I had never had the opportunity to shoot at TDH, but I am so happy I finally got too. The lighting in each room is perfect, theres a mix of rustic and elegant everywhere, it's located next to the most picturesque downtown I have ever seen and the people who run the weddings and organize everything are very helpful and wonderful.
The weather was perfect as well which helped make my job even easier. After taking our group shots on the grounds, V + F, Michael (my second shooter) and I went for a tour of the town to capture their love on camera.
V + F, again, thank you SO much for including me (and Michael) in your day. You honestly are the two most easy going people I have ever worked with and you really had the perfect day.
Enjoy the photos! xoxo
