First off, I am so honoured to have been chosen by l + k to capture their day. After them being together for 9.5 years, and myself knowing them for all of that time, I again, am so thankful I was the one to capture their love!
When you think of a diy wedding, you think of cute crafts, some homemade decor etc. but this was SO much more then a DIY wedding, it was the perfect wedding. So much love, sweat and tears went into every moment and every detail of the day. From the bouquets made by the girls (other then lindsays bouquet, which was made by Karen at Schakel Greenhouses), to her dad making the bar, to an uncle making the cafe lighting outside the tent to the mothers growing the lavender themselves that you see through all the arrangements, so incredible.
L + K, I hope I captured your day perfectly and I can't wait for you guys to see ALL the pics

A beautiful couple who has booked me for their wedding this winter.
Heather and Josh, I had SO much fun with you guys!! I can't wait to capture you're big day!! xo
What a beautiful day with this couple. Although we were in scorching heat majority of the day, it was way better then the thunderstorms that were being predicted. We did the first look and formal bridal photos down at the waterfalls in St Marys, the venue was Stone Willow Inn, there was the most adorable ring bearer who delivered rings in a tractor and there was a cardboard cutout of the groom that was used in various ways throughout the day haha
Dryden & Blake, I am so happy you guys asked me to capture your day and can't believe how perfect of a match we were together. I had so much fun with you both, and your friends and families, and I can't wait for you guys to see all the photos!
Over the May 2-4 weekend, we toured in a seaplane (with Lake Country Airways) all over the Kawartha Lakes area, more importantly, the cottage. The cottage is located on Dewey's island in Rosedale, which is surrounded by Rosedale river, the Burnt River, Cameron Lake and the Trent Severn Waterway.
We had never been in a seaplane before and it was even more incredible then I imagined. Here is a sneak peek at our flight!
Hannah + Cameron found me through a mutual friend and after skyping with them, we knew it would be a great match! This past weekend we met up on the Barrie waterfront to not only meet in person but to also do their engagement photos before Cameron leaves to head back to BC where he lives half of the year. We had quite the weather for this shoot (rain, snow, freezing rain, lots of wind) but they were troopers and the blowing hair adds to the photos in my opinion :)
H + C, I had SO much fun with you guys and I absolutely can't wait to capture your wedding in March. You guys are so awesome and made my job easy!
Enjoy the pics

Here is the second major peek at this beautiful couples wedding in Jamaica.
Chris & Linds, I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to not only capture your love and amazing day but to be able to spend a week with you all in Jamaica, amazing.
Thank you thank you thank you!
Love you guys!
xo-Megan
Lindsay, Chris and I go way back to our childhood days and when they asked me 1. if I wanted to come to Jamaica to capture their wedding but also 2. are you on board with doing a trash the dress? I was clearly on board and so excited.
While I work away on the wedding photos, I thought I would start with sharing the trash the dress session. The three of us went out at sunset and started off in the sand and the edge of the water and by the end, we were fully submerged under water and laughing constantly. I had so much fun during this session and it will forever be a favorite.
Cant wait for you both to see the wedding photos (coming soon!!). Love you guys and thanks again SO much for such a wonderful week.

This beautiful couple asked me to take photos of them in High Park for their 4 year anniversary and I am so thankful as it was so much fun but the photos are some of my favorites I have taken in a while
Enjoy!

This wedding was not only beautiful, but so much fun. Rosie & Dave chose the Story's building as their venue which was a first for me, but I just loved it and hope I can return soon!
Rosie & Dave, whom I didn't know too well before the wedding, I feel like I know very well and love since the wedding. From Rosie walking down the aisle to Ozzy, to the "nailed it!"'s through out the day, to the laughs and tears during the reception and to the best darn first dances I have EVER seen.
R & D, you are so much fun and I am happy I got to witness such a great wedding. Rachel & Rebecca, thank you for introducing me to Ms Rosie, you both rock!
Big thanks to my second shooter, Lindsay Nemeth, you also rock!
Enjoy the peek at your photos and can't wait for you to see the rest!

For those who don't know yet, on top of being a photographer and freelance graphic designer I am also the Creative Director at Photographers Without Borders(PWB). With PWB, I have seen countries and met people I may of never had the chance too, and it has been incredible.
On February 2, I left for Costa Rica for the second PWB Photodocumentary Workshop to help Danielle Da Silva (the founder) facilitate the workshop and capture behind the scenes footage (both photo & video). Here are a few of my favorites!
Interested in taking one of our workshops? The next one is full in May but our fall one will be announced soon!

I am so darn excited to share this wedding with you all!
First off, Danielle and I go back to the first year college days, where we met through Humber Varsity soccer and then ended up being roommates at one point and have been pals ever since. When she asked me to capture her day, I of course jumped at the chance not even knowing where or when. When I found out their wedding was going to be at Hacienda Sarria, and googled, I was blown away at the venue and how beautiful it was. Then to find out it was going to be a New Years Eve wedding made it extra awesome.
Danielle's love for beige(s), their vintage style and great taste showed through in the entire day. Danielle made the bouquets, they had simple/beautiful rings, the medival structure of the building, it was all perfect!
D + N, THANK YOU! I am so happy I got to be a part of the day and I hope you love these photos xoxoxo
A great big shout out to one of my fav gals, Anna Baker, for being my second shooter for this amazing wedding.

5. Jess & Luke, London ON, August 2015 - This adorable/yummy cake was created by Jess' friend, Ashley Farr. Ashley has some amazing skills and gets another mention in #2.
4. Rachel & Matt, London ON, September 2015 - This beautiful cake was created by one of my other brides (who was in Rachel's bridal party), Rebecca.. Rebecca is incredible at what she does and I love the unique look of this cake. Check out Rebecca's wedding here.
3. Taylor & Sarah, Toronto ON, August 2015 -I absolutely loved the color palette for their table but I think it was the little banner on top that won me over!
2. Shauna & Brett, London ON, October 2015 - This beautiful cake, again, was created by Ashley Farr. She has some incredible talent and is still new to the industry. Can't wait to see where her skills take her!
1. Number one has to be this beautiful 3 tier (each tier a different flavour), "naked" style cake created by the Bride, Sharon. Sharon is one talented lady when it comes to baked goods but also just a creative person in general. Two of Sharons bouquets made my favorite flowers of 2015 list. You can see those here.
I believe this was the year of brides making their own arrangements and also the "gathered" look, both of which I love. Here are a few of my favorite bouquets I saw this year.
5. Vannessa, The Doctors House in Kleinberg, June 2015 - this was a bouquet she made herself filled with roses and it was simple and beautiful. She also did all of the table arrangements for her wedding and everything was stunning.
4. Sarah, Berkeley Church, August 2015 - Another rose filled beauty created by their Floral Designer, Ashton Creative, based out of Toronto. She has an amazing portfolio, click here to see.
3. Sharon, Ceremony at City Hall in Toronto, August 2015 - This beautiful and talented lady gets two mentions on this list because well, both her bouquets are incredible. This bouquet was created by Botany Studio in Toronto. Their florals are always unique, colorful and just plain old gorgeous.
2. Sharon, Reception in Muskoka ON, August 2015 - Now, this bouquet was created by Sharon and I couldn't of loved it more. It photographed beautifully, it was unique, it had the "gathered" look, it had flowers I had never seen before in my life.. just perfect!
1. Shauna - It was a tough call but Shauna's bouquet had to be my top choice, it had kale in it! In my opinion, Shauna's bouquet brought together all the elements that (I think) make a stunning arrnagement; gathered, depth, multiple shades of the same colour, unique flowers, AND KALE. This arrangement was created by Earthen Elegance in London ON.
A little peek at some of my favorite dance floor photos. There is MANY from this year, but I tried my best to show the best variety, with the most PG photos :)
Enjoy!!!
I have to start off with, how amazing is this venue? I could shoot at Berkeley Church daily and it would never grow old.
So, this was my second wedding among this AMAZING group of people (you can see the first, Rachel and Matt's, here), and again, had so much fun and there is so much candid laughter and emotion throughout their photos.
Rebecca & Pat will forever go down as one of the most relaxed couples I have worked with and for that, it made for an incredibly beautiful and relaxed day.
R & P, THANK YOU!!! I am so happy I got to capture so many beautiful moments and I can't wait for you to see the rest
Favorite moments: live band (Dwayne Gretzky), the emotion on rebecca's face both when she walked down the aisle and during her brothers speech and then the fact that their beautiful cake was made of styrofoam.
You guys rock!
xoxo
